Fresno State football: Zack Greenlee, Brandon Hughes out against San Jose State

Fresno State will be without starting QB Zack Greenlee

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Fresno State Athletics announced on Saturday the discipline for starting quarterback Zack Greenlee and  backup linebacker Brandon Hughes in a short statement released just 15 minutes before the game against San Jose State.

The code of conduct committee met and made a recommendation to the Director of Athletics and the President that football student-athletes Zack Greenlee and Brandon Hughes will serve their discipline during Saturday's game at San Jose State. Head coach Tim DeRuyter will be available for comments after the game.

This likely means that the two are out for the whole game as that is what the school did for fellow student-athlete Fanny Johanson who is on the soccer team and was involved in being arrested with Greenlee and Hughes a week ago.

This means that Fresno State will be starting West Virginia transfer Ford Childress in their conference opening game against San Jose State in the conference opener for the Bulldogs.
