Findlay Prep has produced quite the haul for UNLV head coach Dave Rice in recruiting. Recently Anthony Bennett, Rashad Vaughn and Christian Wood have all come to UNLV through Findlay Prep; all three averaged at least 15 points for a season as a Rebel.
According to Taylor Bern of the Las Vegas Sun, Tristan Clark, is transferring to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada. Clark, a three-star forward from Converse, Texas, has an offer from UNLV and is in the 2017 class. Rivals.com lists six different schools that have offered Clark: UNLV, New Mexico, Creighton, UTEP, Rice and Incarnate Word.
2017 is a bit too far away to guess at how Clark will fit into the Rebels roster, but at 6-foot-8, he meets the height range that Dave Rice has been seeking in recent recruits and transfers.
Also from the Sun’s story, the Rebels are after six players at Findlay Prep including Clark. Five of those reside in the class of 2017, but 2016 guard Skylar Mays transferred to Findlay Prep this summer.
Plus Justin Jackson – who could be on the Rebels roster for the upcoming season or at Findlay Prep – would add to the UNLV pipeline that’s spurting out talent right next door for Dave Rice.
Here’s an 18-month old video of Clark highlights.
