San Jose State Football: Depth cart is out, no decision on quarterback

Looks like the depth chart is figured out, except for a very important position.

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Obviously, the biggest glaring thing that sticks out is the "or" for the starting quarterback position. The competition, as mentioned by Ron Caragher a couple of weeks ago, is down to senior Joe Gray and transfer Kenny Potter. You do see that same "or" for the starting right guard and right tackle position, but being that the most polarizing position in the game of football (and mostly in all of sports), fans are going to talk about the battle between Joe Gray and Kenny Potter a lot more than they are about Chris Gonzalez/Doug Blacksill and Nate Velichko/Evan Sarver. With the Spartans opening up against New Hampshire September 3rd, it'll be really interesting to see who will be named the starter and when it'll be announced.
