Each year, San Diego State football hosts Aztecs Fan Fest prior to the start of the season. The annual event gets fans pumped up for the upcoming season with an intrasquad scrimmage, merchandise sales, autograph sessions, and more.
This year's Fan Fest will take place on Saturday, August 22nd starting at 3:30 p.m. PT at Qualcomm Stadium. Concessions will be available all day, and there will be activities for all ages. There will also be a special Aztec Shops clearance sale, featuring special discounted apparel items like t-shirts, hoodies, and jerseys from prior seasons.
While admission to Fan Fest is free, attendees can choose to pay and sit in on Coach Rocky Long's "Chalk Talk" session.
The Chalk Talk will take place from 3:30-5 p.m. PT on the north side of Qualcomm Stadium. For $25, Chalk Talk attendees will have the chance to learn X’s and O’s from Coach Long prior to the Aztecs’ scrimmage and will have sideline access for the scrimmage as well. Beer and wine will be provided.
At 5:00 pm PT, the scrimmage will get underway and Aztecs fans will get their first and only look at the 2015 team before their season opener against the crosstown USD Tritons on September 5th. With the hype surrounding the team going into the season, and media picking the Aztecs to take the division, the expectations for this team are high and fans will be eager to see the players in action (not to mention decked out in their beautiful new uniforms).
