Wyoming picks up their fourth commitment in Nebraska defender David Engelhaupt

Wyoming dips into the Cornhusker State to land linebacker/defensive end David Engelhaupt.

The Wyoming coaching staff has started to get on a recruiting roll when it comes to the 2016 recruiting class.  The Cowboys have now received their fourth verbal commitment in Norfolk, Nebraska (Norfolk Catholic) linebacker/defensive end David Engelhaupt.

The 6'4", 235-pounder was a co-MVP for Norfolk Catholic, All-District, All-State and All-Super State honorable mention in Nebraska.

Engelhaupt selected the Cowboys over offers from North Dakota, Northern Iowa, South Dakota and South Dakota State.

When it came to selecting Wyoming, Engelhaupt said,  "The coaching staff was a huge part of it.  I know coach (Craig) Bohl is leading that team in the right direction and I want to be apart of it."

"I really liked Coach Fuchs and he is awesome. He was always excited and he was always straight up with me."

Engelhaupt attended the Cowboys individual camp on June 26th-27th and received a scholarship offer soon after the camp. Engelhaupt felt there was no use dragging out his recruitment and pulled the trigger on the 4th of July.

Positional wise, he has always been a outside linebacker but the Wyoming coaching staff is looking to move him to defensive end when he steps onto the Laramie, Wyoming campus.
