Boise State is upping its basketball schedule with the addition of a three-year series between the the Broncos and the Oregon Ducksper CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. The first game in this series is at Taco Bell Arena on Dec. 12, with the following two games to be played in Eugene, Oregon.

Oregon is not a powerhouse basketball program but they have made the NCAA Tournament the past three years with a Sweet 16 appearance in 2013 and winning one game in each of the last two tournaments.

Adding a Pac-12 opponent keeps in line with Boise State improving their basketball schedule. The past few seasons Boise State has played Wisconsin, North Carolina State, Utah, Kentucky, South Carolina, LSU and Michigan State.

So, this is nothing new for this Boise State program, and adding a team of Oregon's caliber will help the Broncos strength of schedule come NCAA tournament time, and indirectly the conference as well.

The Mountain West has been telling schools to up their non-conference schedule by dropping non-Division I schools and teams that have RPI's well past the 200 range.

Boise State is keeping up its end of their promise with this multi-year series with Oregon.
