It was announced on the NCAA Tournament selection show today on ESPNU that the San Diego State Aztecs will be in the 2015 NCAA baseball tournament.

The Aztecs will be the fourth seed in the Lake Elsinore region which is hosted by the top seeded UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. The USC Trojans and the Virginia Cavaliers are also in the region. The Aztecs made the tournament by winning the Mountain West Tournament title on Sunday and securing the automatic bid to enter the NCAA tournament.

The Aztecs are the lone team from the Mountain West to be invited to the NCAA tournament. Despite winning 41 games and winning the regular season conference title, the Nevada Wolf Pack did not earn an at-large bid to the tournament. The Wolf Pack lost their last three games which included going 0-2 in the Mountain West Tournament.

The fourth seeded Aztecs will face the one seeded Gouchos  on Friday 7pm PST. The second seeded Trojans and the third seeded Cavaliers will be played at 4 pm PST.
