Air Force Returns One .300 Hitter to Lineup for 2015

The Falcons had troubles hitting last season and that may continue if newbies don't deliver and returning vets don't either. Tyler Jones (freshman AA) returns to lead attack. He WILL need help. Eh, yuh, pitching could use a transfusion also. Take a look.

Air Force Will be Young in the Lineup

The Falcons tied for last in the MWC along with San Jose State and kept out of the cellar by means of tie breaker. Still, they need help as this is a pretty young team that will take the field in about two weeks.

C - Ben Hawkins (FR)
1B - Spencer Draws (JR) - .269 and 1
2B - Noah Pierce (SR) - .296 and 3
SS - Russell Williams (SO) - .221 and 2
3B - Tyler Saleck (SR) - .266 and 3
OF - David Thomas (SR) - .234 and 3
OF - Tyler Jones (SO) - .338 and 4
OF - Hunter Parnell (FR)
DH - Ryan Robb (FR) or Bradley Haslam (SO) - .273

SP - Steven Trojan (JR) - 3-6 and 5.33 13 starts
SP - Griffin Jax (SO) - 3-8 and 5.86 and 14 starts
SP - Tucker Jacobs (FR)
RP - Nathan Stanford (SO) - 2-1 and 3.12 and 4 saves

The Falcons need a lot of help in the offense. Catcher needs a serious upgrade and first base, one outfield position, and DH need some bats. Who will replace Seth Kline at 1B? A bunch of frosh are coming in and I feel (as you can see above) that some newbies will play a big role on this team. Freshmen are always a problem for me as I never see them until the season starts. Left field belongs to freshman AA Tyler Jones but the rest of the positions are iffy. I'm pretty sure the coach will be able to find one starting pitcher to fill out the weekend rotation.
