2015 San Jose State recruiting: Spartans haul in great class

San Jose State had the surprise class of the Mountain West.

San Jose State made some big noise on signing day. It started with landing four-star wide receiver Kanya Bell and also four-star defensive back Tae'on Mason.

The Spartans made the biggest splash out of the Mountain West because of how strong they finished, and they very likely will finish with the second best class in the league.

It all started by staying home and signing 22 of their 23 recruits from California, and one from Texas.

One class does not make San Jose State the team to beat next year but this is a great base to perhaps move up the pecking order in the Mountain West. Coming off a 3-9 season makes this class even more of a shock by who they landed.

Of course, head coach Ron Caragher was high on this class.

"How can we improve our team based on need and year in school? With a large number of scholarships available, we could recruit across the board at all positions. That's been good. This is a good class - a good high school senior class and a good junior college class. We addressed our needs and we're really excited. Most of these guys have been in the camps we had over the summer. I want to get to know them. I want to see how driven they are to succeed not just as a football player or an athlete, but also in the classroom and how they will represent our program."

Below is who they signed, but check out highlights and even more info with bios and videos on the Spartans official website.
