The recruiting efforts of San Jose State have provided great results this year. The latest is being able to land four-star cornerback Tae'on Mason. He is a 6-0, 170-pound defensive back out of Muir High-Pasadena, California, was at one point committed to USC and most recently gave his verbal commit to play at Washington State.
Give credit to the Spartans defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator Donté Williams to deliver the second four-star recruit of this class.
Mason had offers from eight of the Pac-12 schools, Notre Dame and then San Jose State.
Adding Mason is a great get for San Jose State, and not just because he is rated with four stars and a top-40 defensive back per Rivals. The one strength of the Spartans team has been its defensive backfield and now they add one of the more talented recruits in the country.
San Jose State is full of surprises on signing day and will have one of the top classes in the Mountain West.
