At 11:05 a.m. today, head coach Rocky Long and the San Diego State football coaching staff received quite a wonderful fax: 4-star linebacker Kyahva Tezino had chosen to play for SDSU over Cal and Boise State.

Tezino, a 6-foot, 225-pound linebacker from Salesian High School in Los Angeles, received four stars from all four major recruiting services (Rivals.com, Scout.com, 247sports.com and ESPN.com). He is the 251st-best 2015 recruit in ESPN's Top 300. ESPN also ranks him the 16th best linebacker in his class.
He played running back and linebacker during all three of his seasons at Salesian. He led the team in tackling all three years: 112 in 2014, 122 in 2013 and 109 in 2012.
He also put up some impressive rushing numbers in his junior and senior seasons, compiling 1,576 yards and 12 touchdowns on 166 carries.
Tezino decommitted from Washington State earlier this week, and according to California Golden Blogs, his final four was SDSU, Cal, Kansas and Boise State. He also held offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State, Miami, SMU, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
