Utah State Recruiting: JUCO offensive lineman pick Jude Hockel

Junior college offensive lineman Jude Hockel signed on with the with the Utah State Aggies back on December 17th, 2014. Hockel has great speed off the ball. His excellent field vision allows him to quickly reach the second level and pick up blitzing linebackers.  He drives his feet really well and always finishes plays. If you couldn't tell I am very impressed with Hockel. The more film I watch on Hockel the more surprised I am that Utah State was his only offer.

He does seem to rise up on his pass blocking sets and his hand get outside sometimes but those are the only two obvious flaws. Over all it wouldn't surprise me at all if Jude Hockel came in and competed for a starting job immediately at Utah State. Watch him drive defenders all over the field below:
