Three-star tight end Matt Pistone has signed his national letter of intent to play college football for the Boise State Broncos.

Pistone has shown flashes of playmaking abilities in the passing game, racking up 1,036 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns in his career at Yuma Catholic, but at the moment his greatest strength lies in his blocking abilities. He could immediately fill in for the Broncos in red-zone situations–where his large size and decent hands will make him a glaring target for the quarterback–or as an extra blocker in a heavy set formation.

Pistone is a unanimous three-star amongst the main recruiting databases (247sports, Scout, Rivals, ESPN). 247sports ranks him as the 12th-best prospect in Arizona and the 31st-best tight end in the country.
