Head coach Ron Caragher is hauling in one of the best classes in a very long time, if not ever, for San Jose State, and a lot of it has to do with being able to get wide receiver Kanya Bell to sign with San Jose State.
Bell chose the Spartans over USC and other Power Five programs, and Boise State who plays at that level. One key reason Bell chose San Jose State was due to their uniform combinations.
Bell clearly needs to had to his 160-pound frame to be a real threat at the FBS level, but his speed and playmaking ability in high school is a reason that so many top notch programs went after him. A knee injury limited him in his junior year and he transferred for his final year of eligibility, and that likely scared off some of the bigger schools to sign him. That is San Jose State's gain for believing in Bell to be a key player for this class.
