Name: Drew Berger
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 220 pounds
School: Coeur d’Alene (Coeur d’Alene, ID)
Berger is a prototypical inside linebacker. He has a promising blend of size, speed, and smarts that should have contributing to the Broncos’ defense fairly quickly. Berger’s strong instincts and high motor makes up for whatever shortcomings he’ll have from an athletic standpoint at the next level, and he could end up being the best recruit in the class when all is said and done.
During Berger’s senior year at Coeur d’Alene, he racked up 93 total tackles, 9.0 TFL, 3.0 sacks, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble. He also added 549 rushing yards, 139 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns on offense.
247sports is the highest on Berger, ranking him as a four-star recruit and the second-best player in Idaho. Scout, Rivals, and ESPN all have him as a three-star recruit.
