Boise State vs Utah State: Can the Broncos keep their winning streak alive?

Boise State is looking to continue their winning streak alive.

Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

Tuesday night, Boise State will put their five-game winning streak on the line as they travel to the Beehive State where they will face off against the Utah State Aggies.  Utah State is coming off a 20-point defeat against San Diego State by a score of 62-42.

The Aggies have won three out of their last seven, and are starting to lose a grip in conference play as they sit in sixth place.  For Boise, they are coming off of a thrilling win against Colorado State, but the boys in blue haven’t played since January 27, so look for them to start off a little slow but make more attempts to go up tempo as the first half goes on. Boise State averages eight more points per game compared to Utah State, so look for more production from the Boise State bench in the late minutes of this one.

Players to watch:

Boise State: My player to watch for Boise State is obviously Derrick Marks. Marks forced many shots early on in their last game, so if the Broncos can get him going early, another conference win is in sight.

Utah State: Jalen Moore is playing great basketball as of late.  He averages the most minutes, points, and rebounds for his team so if he isn't playing well, the Aggies are in trouble.

Keys to the Game: The Aggies rank in the top 100 in three defensive categories.  They are 81st in Points allowed, 83rd in rebounds per game, and 60th in blocks per game. They hold teams to 62.2 points a game, but Boise averages 72.7 points a game.  Whoever can win the offensive rebounding battle and have the least amount of turnovers will win this game.

Where to watch: CBS Sports Network, 9:35 p.m. ET.

Prediction: Boise State-69 Utah State-53
