The Boise State Broncos landed their first commitment from the 2016 class, grabbing a verbal from three-star defensive back Isaiah Hayes out of Calabasas High School (Calabasas, CA).

Hayes is a 5'11", 175-pounder who is capable of playing either corner or safety at the next level. During his junior season at Calabasas, Hayes racked up 63.0 total tackles, 3.0 TFL, 5 passes defended, an interception, and half a sack.
In Hayes, the Broncos have a physical defender who is capable of making plays all over the field. His ability to play the ball in the air will serve him well at the next level, but his coverage skills need work. He doesn't shy away from contact and will make plays around the line of scrimmage. Overall, it's a great start for the Broncos' 2016 class.
