Boise State, Washington will air on ESPN

Boise State will play Washington on Friday Sept. 4 on ESPN.

A date and television network has been settled on for the return of former Boise State head coach Chris Petersen to bring his Washington Huskies to take on his former Boise State squad.

Petersen was the head coach at Boise State from 2006-2013 and went 92-12, 5-2 in bowl games and won a pair of Fiesta Bowls.

There was no question about the game being on an ESPN network since all but one of Boise State's home games are guaranteed to be on an ESPN network. The only question was which World Wide Leader platform the game.

The game time has not been announced but odds are this could be a 10 p.m. ET kickoff time to accommodate the West coast fan bases.

Washington finished the 2014 season with an 8-6 record and appeared in the Cactus Bowl and losing to Oklahoma State.

Boise State is coming off their third Fiesta Bowl victory by defeating Arizona.
