Utah State has finalized their 2016 non-conference schedule which includes two home games against Arkansas State and Weber State, plus a pair of high profile road games at USC and BYU.
"Our schedule next season is consistent with our on-going scheduling philosophy," said Director of Athletics John Hartwell. "We always want to have six home games, including a home game against a regional Football Championship Series (FCS) opponent. We will also look at one guarantee road game each season and continue our home and home relationship with longtime in-state rival BYU."
This non-conference slate is not easy and will challenge the Aggies, remember they lost to Arkansas State just a few years ago. Next season they open up at home against Weber State on Sept. 1, that will be followed by a road game at USC on Saturday, Sept. 10, so at least there is some extra time to prep for that game. The Aggies will get to host Arkansas State on Saturday, Sept. 17 and wrap up the regular season at BYU on Saturday, Nov. 26.
This is a solid non-conference schedule with balance between some very good teams down to an FCS foe, but based on this season's opener against Southern Utah, the Aggies can not take for granted next year's opener against Weber State.
