New Mexico Lobos forward Devon Williams laid face down Sunday night in a scary situation and then taken off the court on a stretcher. Williams stayed behind in Las Cruces, New Mexico, for further tests and he has improved and even started walking around the hospital as of early Monday morning.
Thank you everyone for your concerns and keeping me in your prayers, it really means a lot to me. Much love to all of you!

Hearing that Williams is walking round is great news for his recovery because broken necks can be very sever injuries. As for his basketball future that is still up in the air as is when he will be returning back to Albuquerque.
The injury occurred in the second half when he collided with teammate Jordan Hunter in an awkward angle and collapsed immediately and face down onto the court.
Hopefully Williams can make a full recovery and possibly even return to the New Mexico lineup.
