Nevada Football Recruiting: Catching up with commit Alec Simpson

California linebacker Alec Simpson is wrapping up his senior season, so we caught with the Nevada commit to see what he has been up to over the past few months.

Robert J Pfeifer: "How are you feeling about your Nevada commitment?"

Alec Simpson: "I'm very solid to Nevada, 100% committed."

RJP: "What are your goals for your team while in college?  What are your individual goals?"

AS: "To win a mountain west championship with my team and individual goals are to do my job successfully every down for my teammates in order to win games."

RJP: "What NFL player do you try to model your game after? What Nevada player?"

AS: "Clay Matthews most definitely and Matthew Lyons at Nevada because he can play inside and on the line as well.  I model Clay Matthews because he has a nose for the football and can rush the passer.  Same thing with Matthew Lyons, and he plays with heart, it shows."

RJP: "Favorite Food?"

AS: "Chicken Quesadilla."

RJP: "Favorite Movie?"

AS: "We Are Marshall."

RJP: "Favorite TV Show?"

AS: "Two and a Half Men."

RJP: Favorite Pastime other than Football?"

AS: "Love to snowboard and surf."
