UNLV basketball recruiting: Jaylen Fisher verbally commits

The Runnin' Rebels add yet another highly coveted player to 2016 squad in Jaylen Fisher.

UNLV Basketball continues to add to their uber talented and new class of 2016.  Jaylen Fisher, a four star point guard from Arlington, Tennessee, out of Bolton High School announced on Wednesday that he has chosen UNLV as his college destination in 2016.

The UNLV Runnin' Rebels were the final pick after Fisher's considerations included Arkansas, Baylor, Indiana, LSU, and Memphis. He was scheduled to visit Indiana as well as Baylor later this month, but with the commitment to the Rebels those visits are likely scratched.

This is an excellent addition for UNLV as he is ranked in the top 100 players in the nation and ranked in the top 10 for point guards in the 2016 class. Fisher is listed at 6-2 and 175 pounds, ideal size for his position.  He recently played in the Under Armour Association where he averaged 6.8 points and 3.3 assists per game.

UNLV's ability to pull a Tennessee native from his home state has become par for the course recently as the Rebels' recruitment reaches continue to span across the country in extremely successful ways.

This addition puts UNLV in the top 10 for the 2016 class at No. 7, per 247Sports.
