For the first time in years there is a West Division team atop this Mountain West power poll. That is what happens when San Diego State blows out Utah State who the week prior blew out Boise State. The top three is fluid again with the Aztecs taking in 10 first -place votes with Boise State taking six and then Utah State is third.
Every single spot in this poll has a new member and the biggest change was just two spots with San Diego State and Utah State swapping spots and then Wyoming dropping two spots to the basement of this poll.
San Diego State is at the top of the conference but will they make it there the rest of the way? The West Division is the weaker of the two and their remaining schedule is not that difficult with their toughest game in the regular season is going on the road next week against Colorado State. They then have a bye before hosting Wyoming, traveling to Nevada and then hosting UNLV to wrap the season.
