There is a new number one in our latest power poll after Utah State dethroned previous number one Boise State by winning 52-26 last week.
That win coupled with other results caused the poll to have a big shake up. Fresno State earned its first win over an FBS team, New Mexico beat Hawaii and Wyoming got its first win of the year against Nevada.
Despite Utah State getting the convincing win over Boise State, they are not receiving all of the first place votes. The Broncos still have two first place votes and so does San Diego State, guess that San Jose State win impressed someone.
Yes, the Mountain is still dominant with five of the first six spots occupied by them.
1. Utah State (12) LW: 2 | Mountain |
2. Boise State (2) LW: 1 | Mountain |
3. San Diego State (1) LW: 4 | West |
4. Colorado State LW: 7 | Mountain |
5. Air Force LW: 3 | Mountain |
6. New Mexico LW: 8 | Mountain |
7. San Jose State LW: 5 | West |
8. UNLV LW: 9 | West |
9. Nevada LW: 6 | West |
