Local Linebacker Commits to Colorado State

Linebacker Max McDonald from Fort Collins commits to play college football for the Rams.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado State Rams received a commitment from local prep star Max McDonald from Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The two-star linebacker (per Rivals) has announced that he will be staying home to play football for the Rams. McDonald, who held only one other FBS offer, committed to the Rams over the weekend. McDonald has received offers from Colorado State, Air Force, Eastern Washington, Northern Colorado and South Dakota.

The 6'2", 210 pound linebacker has good size and the speed to play at the next level. McDonald makes good reads and tackles well. McDonald is the fifth Colorado player to commit to play for the Rams in 2015. He will be joining fellow Rocky Mountain High School teammate Salofi Gaoa at Colorado State.
