Hawaii's 2015 season opener against Colorado had been moved from Saturday Sept. 5 and will now be played on Thursday Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. HT (12 a.m. ET). There is no specific reason as to why the game was moved up a few days.
This does allow Hawaii a for two extra days to prepare for their following game which is against the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes.
There are now 10 games playing on college football's opening night, including another Mountain West member as Utah State hosts Southern Utah.
These two teams played this past season where Colorado defeated Hawaii, 21-12, and this will be the fifth time ever the two have played. Each time these two teams have played the home team has won.
There is also no word on the televisions situation for this game, but with it being such a late start it is very likely the CBS Sports Network.
