Boise State football recruiting: Broncos land JUCO DB Ray Ford

Boise State picked up another JUCO player in defensive back Ray Ford.

Boise State had a busy recruiting weekend by picking up two recruits over the weekend. They landed three-star offensive lineman Eric Quevedo on Sunday, but prior to that Boise State picked up a verbal commitment from Riverside City College defensive back Ray Ford on Saturday.

Ford has taken a long road to get back to the FBS level. Out of high school he was a three-star recruit in the 2012 class, and had offers from Arizona, Cal, Arizona State, Utah, Washington State, Nebraska, UCLA and others. He initially chose Cal but was not able to be cleared academically, and then he chose Washington State but once again he was not cleared due to grades.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Ford visited Boise State this past weekend and committed before he left. Ford is also expected to enroll in January and participate in spring football.

He spent the past two seasons at Riverside City College, and in 2013 he had six interceptions, nine pass breakups and 56 total tackles in 12 games.

Check out his highlights from his time at Riverside City College.
