Get excited that college football is back, but in the Mountain West this first week is a real drag. There are four games streaming, four on television yet four are no where to be seen outside of being in the stadium. Then include that there are eight games against FCS opponents.
The positive spin on this Week 1 schedule is that this gets out of the way the majority of the FCS games on the schedule. Another positive is that with so many Mountain West teams starting a new quarterback these easier games will help those new quarterbacks ease into the offense.
With that being said, the game of the week is Friday night's game on ESPN with Washington traveling to Boise State. Another game to be excited about is to see what Tony Sanchez does coaching in UNLV's first game, and game that would be of interest to watch is Chuckie Keeton back starting but unfortunately that game is not broadcast at all.
