When do the Mountain West bowl games take place?

Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

There are a whopping 41 bowl games for the upcoming college football season and the dates and TV times have been officially announced.

The Mountain West schedule is not too bad. At least on that first weekend the bowl games are no overlapping with three games being played at the same time. The only two bowl games that have less than desirable times are the Idaho Bowl and Poinsettia Bowl which are weekday afternoon contests.

  • Las Vegas Bowl versus Pac-12 Dec. 19, 3:30 p.m. ET, TV: ABC*
  • New Mexico Bowl versus Conference USA: Dec. 19, 5:30 p.m. ET, TV: ESPN
  • New Orleans Bowl versus Sun Belt: Dec. 19, 9 p.m. ET, TV: ESPN
  • Famous Idaho Potato Bowl versus MAC: Dec, 22, 3:30 p.m. ET, TV: ESPN
  • Poinsettia Bowl versus Army: Dec. 23, 4:30 p.m. ET, TV: ESPN
  • Hawai'i Bowl versus The American Dec. 24, 8 p.m. ET, ESPN*

  • Cactus Bowl if either Big 12 or Pac-12 cannot fill their slots. Jan. 2, 10:15 p.m. ET, TV: ESPN

  • * for 2015 and 2019 the MWC will play in either the Las Vegas or Hawai'i Bowl but not both.
