Hawaii Football Recruiting: Warriors sign S Solomon Matautia

The 'Bows have officially inked the Safety from Ewa Beach, Hawaii

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Solomon Matautia, a three-star Safety out of Ewa Beach, HI, has officially signed his letter of intent to play for Coach Norm Chow and the Warriors in 2015.

Name: Solomon Matautia

Height: 6-1

Weight: 215

School: Campbell (Ewa Beach, HI)

Offers: Oregon State, Hawaii

Rating: 3 Star (Scout, ESPN, 247)

Matautia is definitely a good safety prospect with good size and height, that will more than likely increase during his time at Hawaii. He's very quick in his reaction in coverage and is able to make moves without hesitation and with confidence. This is a good commitment for Coach Chow and the Warriors to pull in, especially with how difficult it is for the 'Bows to keep in-state talent. Matautia originally committed to Oregon State in June of 2014, before flipping to UH this January.

Here are some of his highlights from his Senior year at Campbell High:
