For the third consecutive year the New Mexico Lobos will participate in an ESPN sponsored in season tournament. The tournaments allow the Lobos play teams that would not normally schedule a series with the university.  The Lobos previously participated in the Paradise Jam and the Charleston Classic. For the 2014-15 season, the Lobos will take part in the Puerto Rico Tipoff and the field for the tournament includes defending national champions UConn, then Dayton, Texas A&M and also the College of Charleston.

The Lobos will open the tournament against the Boston College Eagles on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. (MST) on ESPN2. The second game for New Mexico will be against either West Virginia or George Mason. The Lobos and Eagles have only met one other time in school history at the 76 Classic in Anaheim during the 2011-12 season, New Mexico won that match up against Boston College, 75-57.
