Colorado State vs. Colorado 2014: TV schedule, streaming, radio

Colorado and Colorado State travel to Denver for the latest edition of the Rocky Mountain Showdown.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The 86th edition of the Rocky Mountain Showdown takes place on Friday night in Denver. This game is an underrated rivalry since over the past decade neither team has been very good. Both Colorado State and Colorado have been down for most of the past decade.

Colorado has been the dominant team in this rival with a dominant 62 wins to just 21 for Colorado State; however, since 1999 this rivalry has been more competitive with Colorado holding a 9-6 edge.

Colorado State is coming of a bowl win over Washington State last year, but they also lost most of the offensive line and, star linebacker Shaq Barrett and most importantly running back Kapri Bibbs.

The best player on the field likely belongs to Colorado State in quarterback Garrett Grayson, but Colorado does have that elusive recruiting edge for being a Pac-12 school. It is hard to imagine Colorado being as bad as they have been the past two years, but they have not improved enough to see this Colorado State game as for sure win.
