According to 247sports.com, four-star 2015 shooting guard prospect Rex Pflueger will visit the campus of San Diego State this weekend and is on campus today.
Earlier this summer, the senior from Mater Dei High School announced his top five college choices, with SDSU among them. So far, Pflueger is only slated to visit SDSU this weekend and Notre Dame next weekend. It seems premature to speculate whether the other three schools on his list--Texas A&M, Cal and Washington State--are out of contention just because he hasn't scheduled visits there yet, but it could be significant that Pflueger is visiting SDSU first.
Pflueger, 6'5" and 180 pounds, received four stars from Rivals.com, 247sports.com and ESPN.com. As a junior last year, he averaged 12 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists en route to earning All-CIF Open Division honors. He played AAU basketball this summer with the Compton Magic.
Pflueger was spotted with Aztec players today by Mountain West Connection's Patrick Carr at the SDSU Men's Basketball ALS Ice Bucket Challenge event.
Five-star 2016 power forward prospect T.J. Leaf was also spotted at today's event.
SDSU 2015 verbal commit Jeremy Hemsley will also visit SDSU this weekend.
Now here are some highlights of Pflueger:
