College football has always tended to not give the smaller teams a fair shake when it comes to how good they really are. Even when there were great teams like Boise State, TCU, Utah, Northern Illinois and others when they were really good teams. So, it comes as no shock that in the preseason polls the little guy is not always represented in the opening season polls.
So, over at SB Nation that remedy has been solved, well sort of, with the weekly Underdogs Poll that consists of only teams that reside outside of the power conferences. The poll will be a weekly poll and consist of 18 voters from within SB Nation: Bull Run, Down The Drive, Hustle Belt, Miner Rush, Mountain West Connection, The UConn Blog, Underdog Dynasty, Vanquish The Foe, Voodoo Five.
