This summer the Mountain West Connection crew is counting down the top 50 players heading into the 2014 Mountain West season. Because the criteria is objective regarding who should be considered "the best," opinions are different for each person. It naturally follows, then, that the results on this list will vary; out of the 94 players who received votes, only 17 were consensus top 50 players, receiving votes from every panel member.
The No. 19 player is San Jose State defensive tackle Travis Raciti. Raciti has a great potential to make it to the next level since San Jose State has him play at nearly every spot on the defensive line and is a very versatile player. His stats from last year weren't overwhelming with 37 tackles, four tackles for a loss and two sacks. Part of the reason that his numbers are low is because he keeps moving on the line and opposing teams are ganging up on Raciti to limit what he can do.
