Breaking: San Diego State to name Mark Martinez next baseball head coach

San Diego State is expected to name Mark Martinez baseball's next head coach in their weekly press conference today at 11:45 a.m. PT.

The news does not come as a shock seeing how, in June, Martinez was named executive head coach and given a three-year extension.

Martinez has been with the Aztecs for the pass nine seasons and has been a crucial member of its success, especially last season taking over as executive head coach while Gwynn was hospitalized.
