Oregon LB Tyrell Robinson to Transfer to Fresno State

After a bit of hearsay, the Ducks linebacker officially became the latest player to depart Eugene in this offseason's exodus.

His impact as the offseason's second transfer to the Central Valley won't be quite as immediate as that of Brandon Connette, but Tyrell Robinson can be sure that the Bulldogs are pleased with his imminent arrival on the gridiron.

Robinson, a San Diego native who appeared in nine games for the Oregon Ducks as a true freshman in 2013, will sit out this season after his transfer to Fresno State became official today.  No specific reason has been given for Robinson's transfer, though he told Andrew Greif of the Oregonian back in June that the move was rooted in a "family decision."  Most interestingly, his twin brother Tyree will stay behind in Oregon.

The four-star linebacker tallied twelve tackles in spot duty last year, and becomes a candidate to replace Donavon Lewis in 2015.  He will have three years of eligibility.
