The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl officials and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation announced today that the New Orleans Bowl had extended its contracts with both the Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA for the next six years through 2019. For this year only the Mountain West Conference will replace Conference USA in the 2014 New Orleans Bowl. That game will be at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 9 AM MST and will air on ESPN.

"We are pleased to again be associated with the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl," said Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson.  "The City of New Orleans is a premier postseason destination, and the Mountain West has a great history with the bowl, with Colorado State's participation in the inaugural 2001 game and San Diego State's 2011 appearance.  We look forward to sending another high-quality represenatative as culmination to the 2014 college football season."

"With an enthusiastic record crowd of over 54,000 at this past R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, we can’t help but be excited about the quality and quantity of anticipated attendance this year," said New Orleans Bowl Chairman Ron Gardner. "Especially with the Mountain West Conference and its fan base joining us in this December’s matchup as part of what will be their third time participating in this terrific event."
