UNLV took care of business in a pitchers duel as they topped No. 4 seeded North Dakota State, 2-1, on Saturday to advance to play on Sunday in another elimination game. UNLV was led by starting pitcher Bryan Bonnell who tossed seven innings, allowing only five hits, struck out three and gave up one earned run. Reliever Brayden Torres came in for the two-inning save to help the Rebels advance.
UNLV will face top seed, and host, Oregon State in another elimination game on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET. Oregon State was demolished by UC Irvine, 14-2, late Saturday night. The Beavers are not known for their offense so if they ever take on a team that can light up the scoreboard then they are in trouble.
UC Irvine awaits to play the winner between Oregon State and UNLV at 11 p.m. ET.
