Nevada Wolf Pack transfer Cole Huff had his short list of potential schools down to Iowa and Creighton earlier this week. Today Huff made his final decision and announced via twitter that he has chosen to play for the Bluejays of Creighton.
Huff began his career at Nevada as a backup at the power forward position and moved into a starting role last year as a sophomore. He was second on the team in points per game with 12.4 and was the best 3-pt shooter at 40.3%.
One of the main reasons Huff decided to transfer was to play his more natural position of small forward. Creighton coach Greg McDermott must have promised Huff the ability to play the position in the 2015-16 season. Coach McDermott must wait to see what Huff can bring due to NCAA transfer rules that prevent the 6-9 forward from playing next year. Huff will be an above average shooter and good defender on a Creighton team looking to maintain its high level of basketball in the Big East.
