Day 2 of the NCAA baseball tournament gets underway on Saturday afternoon and for San Diego State they are facing an elimination game after losing 5-2 to Mississippi State. The Aztecs will face host and No. 1 seed Louisiana-Lafayette after they were upset in a pitchers duel against Jackson State, 1-0.
San Diego State is starting ace Bubba Derby against Louisiana-Lafayette and Derby could be the reason to keep the Aztecs alive in the NCAA tournament, especially if the Ragin' Cajuns have chosen a poor time to go into a slump. The winner of this game will stay alive and play the loser of the night game in the first game on Sunday.
The other game has the surprise No. 4 seeded Jackson State going up against No. 2 Mississippi State in the night cap. t
