College football fans in the Central Valley have a fresh set of recruits over which to get excited, as Tim DeRuyter and the Bulldogs finalized 22 commitments for National Signing Day.
In a press conference earlier this afternoon, DeRuyter sounded confident that the team had adequately shored up its weakness in the defensive backfield and accounted for the graduation of four linebackers and playmakers like Davante Adams and Isaiah Burse. One name that has received plenty of attention is Michael Lazarus, an inside linebacker from Berkeley who considered the 17th-best prospect at the position and a three-star recruit by Rivals.
Also of note is that the Bulldogs had a fair amount of success recruiting in Texas and Florida, bringing in five from those football hotbeds. Full biographies can be found at Fresno State's official site, but here's the list:
