One of the best matchups in Mountain West women’s basketball this season will be played tonight when Colorado State (20-4, 12-1 MW) and Boise State (14-9, 9-3 MW) women’s teams square off at Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho at 7:00 PM MT.

The CSU Rams sit alone at the top of the MW conference and the Broncos are right behind them in second place. For the Broncos it is another chance to prove themselves. The young BSU team is in much the same situation as the BSU men’s team, with no seniors and only a single junior in their lineup. Home field advantage could be a big factor for the Broncos who host a 10-2 home record this season.

But Colorado State is the number one team in MW women’s BB for a reason: they are outscoring their opponents by an average of 20 points per game. Since December 5th, they have been on a 17-1 run, with their last loss being at Fresno State back on January 11. The first-place Rams are looking to set a school-record 13th MW win and a win tonight in Boise will give them that.
