The Boise State Broncos took care of the Fresno State Bulldogs to win the Mountain West title game Saturday, 28-14. With the Broncos winning, and in reasonably easy fashion, and with that both the offensive and defensive Most Valuable Players came from Boise State.
Boise State's offense has ben led by running back Jay Ajayi but he was held in check and rushed for only 71 yards and had a touchdown. The offensive MVP went to quarterback Grant Hedrick and it came from his ground game and not what he did in the air. Hedrick rushed for 81 yards with a pair of touchdowns, and through the air he completed 9 of 16 passes for 155 yards and no touchdowns. That was enough to give him the MVP.
On the defensive side of the ball it was not all that difficult to figure out who the MVP would be, and that is linebacker Tanner Vallejo who returned his interception 63 yards for a touchdown.
