San Diego State takes on Navy in the Poinsettia Bowl, drop by and chat about the game with us.

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

San Diego State takes on Navy in the Poinsettia Bowl Wednesday night (9:30 p.m. ET/ ESPN). The Aztecs are looking to solidify a rocky season which saw plenty of ups and downs. Navy is fresh of its 13th straight win over Army and will have a solid fan base at the game since they are playing in San Diego.

The Aztecs have played triple-option teams well, and held Air Force to 140 and New Mexico to 152 rushing yards. Navy is more New Mexico than Air Force in running the ball, and averages 345 yards per game and 6.19 yards per rush. The obvious key is for San Diego State is to stop the Navy ground attack.

Also, outgoing offensive coordinator Bob Toledo needs to hand the ball off to Donnel Pumphrey as many times as possible if San Diego State is going to win this game.
