Utah State's defense will be in for a test when they have to stop UTEP's running game with Aaron Jones and Nathan Jeffery. Jones has rushed for 1,233 yards, has 11 touchdowns and averages 5.7 yards per rush. If the Aggies stop Jones then that likely means Utah State will top UTEP.
Utah State is clearly the favorite team since their defense is one of the best in the country with Zach Vigil, Nick Vigil, B.J. Larsen and others. The Aggies offense has struggled a little bit with fourth-string quarterback Kent Myers but he has been able to make enough plays by getting Jojo Natson the ball, and then let him make a big play.
