Game preview: Aztecs look to begin their homestand on the right foot
What to watch for: How much will Malik Pope play?
Pope was the headliner of SDSU's heralded 2015 class. A Rivals.com five-star recruit, Pope has barely averaged 10 minutes per game this year as Steve Fisher and the coaching staff are moving slowly with the freshman who missed all his senior year in high school with leg injuries.
But now it's time to get this future-NBA talent into the swing of things. The Aztecs have three consecutive winnable games at home before Mountain West play. SDSU's offense has looked nothing short of anemic this year, so giving more minutes to a 6-foot-10 wing who can shoot the 3-ball as well as he can attack the rim couldn't hurt.
