The early odds are out for the Mountain West title game which is a rematch between the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Boise State Broncos. The early line is favoring the Broncos quite a lot at 17 points over the Bulldogs, and as of this time there is nothing set on the over/under of the title game.
10:00 PM Game Time | Record | Line | Betting Trend
Teams | Win-Loss | Streak | Open | Current | Spread | Money | O/U |
Fresno State | (6-6) (2-4 A) | W-3 | 0% | n/a | n/a
Boise State | (10-2) (6-0 H) | W-7 | -17 | -17 | 0% | n/a | n/a |
These two teams did play back on Oct. 17 and Fresno State put a scare into Boise State in a 37-27 Broncos win. This second go-around will also be played at Albertsons Stadium and so far Boise State is undefeated at home this year, and Fresno State is just 2-4 on the road this year.
Fresno State is just 3-11 all-time against Boise State -- the most recent win was a 41-40 shootout in 2013 -- and the Bulldogs have just one victory over the Broncos at Boise back in 1986, but that win was when Boise State was not a FBS/I-A program. This 17-point line is quite high for a conference title game but Fresno State is just 6-6 and Boise State is 10-2, so maybe the high line makes sense.
Both teams are playing much better and to the potential that most thought that both Boise State and Fresno State would play this year, but then again the Bulldogs allowed Hawaii to score 21 straight points and throw a scare into them on Saturday night.
The way Boise State has been playing, my early indication is to take Boise State to win and cover the 17 points.
