The final week of Mountain West football is here and neither the Mountain or West division and every game but one has a direct impact on either division race. Before we get into any games we go into depth about how there are finally Group of Five teams ranked in the College Football Playoff poll; Boise State is No. 23 and Marshall is at No. 24, but no Colorado State.
We start talking about Colorado State vs. Air Force as it is the only Friday game, but it is very important for Colorado State, Boise State and Utah State since it has implications on who will win the Mountain Division.
The very important Saturday game is Fresno State vs. Hawaii because Fresno State can win the West Division if they beat Hawaii at home San Diego State still has a shot to win the West title but they need help from multiple games, as does Hawaii.
