Tonight the San Diego State Aztecs (4-0) play the Pittsburgh Panthers (3-1) in the semifinals of the 2014 EA SPORTS Maui Invitational.
The Aztecs come off a thrilling double-overtime victory against BYU last night in which we saw Aqeel Quinn go off for 22 points and J.J. O'Brien log 48 minutes.
The Panthers come off a not-so-thrilling 81-68 victory over Chaminade. Michael Young had a huge game, netting 27 points and grabbing 15 boards -- 10 of which were offensive. Chaminade lost today to BYU in the consolation bracket 121-85. Yes, BYU scored 121. Makes SDSU holding the Cougars to 87 points in 50 minutes look even better, huh?
Join as on this open thread and tell us what you're thinking as you watch SDSU take on Pitt. This game features two defense-first teams, so don't expect a score above the 60s. But who knows. This is college basketball, after all.
